Blackbird is a Cypriot singer, songwriter, and filmmaker whose music blends Byzantine and Mediterranean influences with atmospheric electronic pop. Known for her powerful vocals and cinematic approach to storytelling, she integrates traditional instruments such as the bouzouki and lute with modern production, creating a sound that bridges ancient and contemporary worlds. Her work has earned multiple festival awards, including Best Song, Best Female Vocalist, and Best Actress, and she has been invited to speak on a directors’ panel, reflecting her crossover between film and music. Blackbird has performed at renowned venues including the Whisky a Go Go, the Viper Room, The Mint, The Paramount, and Hotel Café, playing to audiences of over 200 people both in the United States and Europe. Her EP Where Is Home explores themes of identity and belonging through interconnected visual narratives, while her songs “S’agapó,” submitted for Eurovision 2024, and her latest single “Burn,” continue her mission to bring Mediterranean-rooted contemporary music to global audiences.
